What are the main forms of steel pickling?

 At present, there are three main steel pickling methods used in the world: single steel pickling (steel plate

 pickling, single roll pickling, single bundle wire pickling), continuous pickling and semi-continuous pickling.

Single piece pickling method is one of the most primitive and simplest pickling methods, which is characterized by the need not to uncoil, the whole coil of wire or loose coil after pickling, and then hanging into the pool to wash. Due to the poor quality of pickling, low production efficiency, especially great pollution to the environment, it is now vigorously eliminated.

Continuous pickling is a high yield and high quality, rapid development of pickling method, it is set on the unit welding machine and looping device, so that the process section in the coil change without stopping, to ensure the continuous operation of the unit, but the unit is long, complex equipment, high investment. There are two main forms of continuous pickling line, namely continuous horizontal pickling unit and continuous tower pickling unit.

Semi-continuous pickling is relative to single-piece and continuous, because it does not need to set a welding machine (or set a simple welding machine such as stitching machine, etc.) and large capacity looping, so it should be stopped when changing the coil, this method is most suitable for the production of 200,000 to 900,000 t/a.

With the improvement of people's living standards, the requirements for the environment are getting higher and higher, and new technologies and new production lines with high efficiency, no pollution and good quality for the removal of oxide sheet iron continue to emerge.

The past treatment of the surface of the steel coil to be completed by pickling oil, high production costs, but also caused a certain pollution to the environment, and the treatment of waste acid has become a big problem.

The newly developed pickle-free treatment line adopts the new EPS treatment technology, cancels the pickling link of the steel coil, eliminates the generation of waste, all the media is recycled, the surface of the steel coil is cleaner, and has stronger anti-corrosion ability.

EPS patented technology is developed on the basis of SCS technology, and its basic principle is to use special devices in a confined space to carry out EPS treatment, that is, the EPS working medium, namely the mixture of steel sand and water, is sprayed on the upper and lower surfaces of the rolling steel plate, and the oxide or oxide sheet on the surface of the steel plate is removed under the action of a certain jet force. No residual oxides, therefore, can make the surface of the steel plate become smooth, clean surface is the so-called green surface.
